Voici une news qui va ravir notre ami martin :

Ben Tonwley est de retour aux affaires. Toujours intégré au Carlton Dry Honda Team, BT 101 sera habillé par la marque Shift.

Pour marquer le coup, le fabricant US s’est offert un petit shooting vidéo avec le Néo-Zélandais.

Honda’s Ben Townley qualified fastest ahead of Cooper, Gibbs, Waters and McKenzie, before going on to win a hotly contested first moto from Cooper and Waters, with just three seconds separating the trio. Gibbs was 15 seconds further back with McKenzie a further 20 seconds in arrears.

The second moto saw the Motorex KTM Racing Team KTM450 SX-F of Gibbs surge to the front, while Townley crashed out on the first lap and was taken from the track in an ambulance…

In the MX1 class defending champion Ben Townley won the first race but then came to grief on the opening lap of the second race, coming off and sustaining a suspected fracture to his back.

Townley was taken to hospital as the international class track took its toll and the temperatures soared well into the 30s, making it a case of survival of the fittest.

Encore un titre qui fait peur "Townley to ride at Honda Woodville Motocross GP". Y craque !!! Pis nân, c’est la River Race … un motocross dans une rivière, quoi …

Il a encore un ou deux os entiers le père Townley ? Un dur au mal celui-là et en tout cas bonne nouvelle pour le public australien car sur une 450 c’est quand même un régal à voir rouler ce garçon.

Pour ceux qui auraient loupé l’info, BT sera derrière la grille de Glen Helen (MXGP) avant de revenir s’illustrer du côté d’Ernée (MXoN).
